Job Description

Our family of companies is looking for a knowledgeable and proactive Fleet Manager to oversee our vehicle and equipment fleet, ensure DOT compliance, and keep our operations running smoothly.

Position Overview:

The Fleet Manager will be responsible for the overall management, maintenance, and compliance of our vehicle and equipment fleet. This includes ensuring adherence to all DOT regulations, developing, and maintaining safety and maintenance programs, and coordinating inspections, repairs, and records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily fleet operations, including trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.
• Ensure full compliance with all DOT regulations , including inspections, driver files, vehicle records, and reporting requirements.
• Manage preventative maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
• Track and manage fleet budgets, fuel usage, and maintenance costs.
• Maintain accurate documentation for inspections, registrations, permits, and compliance audits.
• Collaborate with safety and operations teams to support training and compliance initiatives.
• Recommend improvements to fleet policies, processes, and technology.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience managing a fleet in transportation, construction, or a related field.
• Strong working knowledge of DOT compliance and safety regulations.
• Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance scheduling and vendor coordination.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with fleet management software is a plus.
• CDL license preferred but not required.
