You will be learning how to use the HydraCAD programs that are used for fire sprinkler design (HydraCAD, HydraList and HydraCalc)
**Position is located in our Arlington, Texas office.**
**JOB RESPONSIBILITES:**
+ Perform on-site surveys of existing fire sprinkler systems with accuracy
+ Draw systems in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible
+ Learn and Run hydraulic calculations (HydraCalc)
+ Learn and Run then check stock listing for fabrication of new fire sprinkler systems (HydraList)
+ Request plans and information from General Contractors and Architects
+ Build product data submittals
**JOB REQUIREMENTS:**
+ 1 to 2 years design experience using AutoCAD is required (see below)
+ Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD is required
+ Must be able to follow directions
+ Must be comfortable asking questions
+ Must be able to read and understand blueprints
+ Prior experience using HydraCalc is a plus
**Preferred background but not required:**
+ Previous construction experience is a plus
+ A degree in Architectural and Engineering Computer Aided Design would be an acceptable alternative to on-the-job design experience
Successful completion of a drug test and pre-employment background screening is required. MVR checks are required for all driving positions.
