Job Description

Clayton Services is searching for an Expeditor to join a thriving North Houston area construction company. The Expeditor will be responsible for taking orders via phone, email, and in person from customers.

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Pay Rate: $17.00/hour

Schedule: Onsite - Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Expeditor Duties and Responsibilities:

• Direct drivers and shop personnel on orders
• Diagnose and resolve customer inquiries
• Document resolution
• Deliver excellent customer service to customers
• Accurately enter information into the system
• Research and diagnose customer problems
• Follow up with customers
• Document inquiries
• Other duties as assigned

Expeditor Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent data entry (10-key) skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
• Microsoft Office proficiency
• Excellent phone skills

Expeditor Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in an Expeditor position or similar role required
• Previous experience in the construction industry is highly preferred

Expeditor Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
