Position Overview:

A healthcare organization in the Las Vegas area is seeking a Director of Risk Management to oversee and lead its patient safety and risk management programs. This leader will be responsible for managing claims, conducting risk assessments, and guiding the organization's root cause analysis and corrective action processes. The role also involves leading the Patient Safety Council and aligning initiatives with corporate safety programs.

The successful candidate will collaborate across departments and executive leadership to drive risk mitigation strategies, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and support data-driven safety practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the organization's risk management and patient safety efforts.
• Manage claims, investigations, and related documentation.
• Conduct risk assessments for new and existing services.
• Facilitate root cause analysis and action planning.
• Coordinate the Patient Safety Council and safety-related programs.
• Ensure alignment with corporate TERM (risk management) standards.
• Provide risk education and reporting to internal stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
• 2-5 years of risk management experience, ideally in an acute care hospital setting.
• Proven leadership in hospital-based risk and safety management.
