About This Role:

Provider Credentialing & Re-Credentialing

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of employment credentialing and privileging for healthcare providers.
  • Conduct primary source verification and maintain compliance with HRSA, AAAHC, NCQA, and FTCA standards.
  • Prepare credentialing files and reports for committee review and coordinate related meetings.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date provider files and digital databases
  • Track licensure, certifications, and other expirables to ensure continuous eligibility.
  • Support audits, site visits, and surveys by regulatory and accrediting bodies.

Database & Systems Management

  • Manage provider data in credentialing software and internal systems.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to support leadership visibility and compliance monitoring.

Stakeholder Communication & Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for provider credentialing questions.
  • Partner with medical staff leadership, internal departments, and external agencies to support credentialing activities.
  • Provide timely updates to the Chief Medical Officer and leadership on credentialing status and issues.

Process Improvement

  • Contribute to refining workflows, templates, and checklists to enhance efficiency and audit readiness.
  • Promote best practices for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance in credentialing processes.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in provider credentialing or payer enrollment.
