Job Description

Commercial Superintendent

Location: Punta Gorda, FL

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 (based on experience)

Type: Full-Time

Why This Role Might Be Exactly What You’ve Been Looking For

You’ve built a career out of running jobs the right way. You don’t cut corners. You know how to keep subs moving, keep the schedule tight, and still have trades shake your hand at the end of a project. Sound like you? Good. We’re working with a GC that actually respects the role of the Superintendent—and that’s a rare thing these days.

What is the Project?

Babcock Ranch is a one-of-a-kind community in Florida where eco-friendly living meets modern comfort. Just outside of Fort Myers, it’s the country’s first solar-powered town — but what makes it special are the awesome amenities.

You’ve got Founder’s Square, the main hangout spot with lakeside views, restaurants, live music, and fun community events. Want to stay active? There’s a huge fitness center, tons of trails for walking or biking, and even kayaking on the lake. Families love the great schools, playgrounds, and safe, friendly vibe.

It’s the kind of place where everything’s easy — from smart tech and high-speed internet to golf carts and nature right outside your door. If you’re looking for a laid-back lifestyle with a bit of everything, Babcock Ranch is worth checking out.

What You’ll Be Running

  • Ground-up commercial projects, typically in the $5–$30M range
  • Managing site logistics, subcontractor coordination, and safety enforcement
  • Leading daily huddles, tracking progress against the schedule, and flagging issues early
  • Working closely with the PM and PE team to keep everything aligned—no surprises
  • Representing the builder on-site and being the go-to for trades, inspectors, and ownership

What They’re Looking For

  • You’ve run at least a few commercial projects from start to finish
  • You know how to read plans inside out and coordinate a dozen moving parts
  • You’ve got that sixth sense for jobsite rhythm—knowing when to push, when to pivot
  • OSHA-30 and current safety certifications (or willing to get them quickly)
  • Bonus if you’ve done tilt-up, retail, or light industrial work

What’s In It for You

  • You won’t be babysat. If you know how to run a site, you’ll be trusted to do it.
  • Solid pipeline of negotiated work—not living and dying by low-bid chaos
  • Real support from the office and a project team that backs you up
  • Company truck/allowance, per diem if needed, and competitive comp with benefits
