A full-service construction compliance firm is looking for an Expeditor/PM with 5 years of large-scale Commercial Construction experience (new building and alteration). The firm offers a full range of compliance services from filing and approval of New Building and ALT 1 projects through Final Certificate of Occupancy. They are experts at navigating the New York City Building Code, DOB protocols and working with agencies like DOT, FDNY and DEP.
Must be willing to work in their Nassau County office 5 days a week.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure projects are coordinated and completed in a safe, timely, efficient, effective and profitable manner
• Assist in building code and zoning reviews to resolve noncompliance
• Work with NYC agencies including DOB, FDNY, DOT, DPR and DCP
• Oversee day-to day management of projects
• Ensure compliance with all local, state and federal requirements to secure permits
• Prepare, submit and track permit applications
• Maintain organized and updated job files and track all project changes
• Manage the flow of required materials and information within the construction team, to clients and agencies
Requirements:
• 5 years commercial estimating and/or project management experience
• Familiarity with DOB NOW and BISWEB filing systems required
• Familiarity with building codes and OSHA requirements
• Ability to read and understand complex blueprints
• 4 year college degree preferred, but not required
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Excel, Outlook, and Project. Field management software is a bonus (i.e. Procore)
