Overview

Our client, a well-established commercial general contractor , is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team in Austin, TX . The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives on accountability, execution, and delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

This is an excellent opportunity to manage ground-up retail and industrial projects across Central Texas while working with a respected and financially strong construction firm.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of project management for ground-up commercial construction projects.
  • Oversee project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Manage subcontractor buyout, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Coordinate closely with field teams to maintain progress, quality, and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular site visits and project meetings to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Foster strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, and trade partners.
  • Oversee project delivery from preconstruction through closeout , ensuring all documentation and turnover requirements are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 5–10 years of experience in commercial ground-up construction .
  • Proven success managing retail, tilt-wall, warehouse, or distribution projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software (Procore, MS Project, or similar).
  • Local experience in Central Texas preferred.
