Lynde Consulting, operating as Nonprofit Security Advisors, helps nonprofit organizations—particularly Christian churches and schools—secure vital funding and resources to protect their people and property.
We guide churches and nonprofits through the Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) and other state and federal security grant initiatives, providing expertise to help them successfully obtain and implement critical security funding.
We are honored to serve some of the most influential churches and ministries in the nation, including Second Baptist of Houston, Watermark, NewSpring, Seacoast, Oak Hills, and many others.

Position Overview
We are seeking a driven and personable Business Development Associate to help grow our client base and expand our reach in the faith-based sector.
You will work closely with our leadership team to connect with churches and ministries, educate them on available security grants, and secure new client partnerships.
While we provide several pre-set appointments and warm leads, success in this role will also require some networking and prospecting to build additional relationships and generate new opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Outreach
- Represent Lynde Consulting's Nonprofit Security Advisors services with professionalism and mission alignment, primarily serving Christian churches and ministries.
- Conduct pre-set appointments provided by the company, nurturing relationships and closing new client engagements.
- Engage in networking and prospecting activities to generate new leads and expand the company's reach.
- Develop and maintain referral partnerships with church networks, ministry leaders, and related organizations.
- Execute a strategic outreach plan, which may include cold calling, email outreach, attending conferences and industry events, and following up on inbound inquiries.
Client Consulting & Sales
- Lead initial conversations with prospective clients to assess their security needs and explain our services.
- Educate clients on available state and federal grant programs, particularly the NSGP.
- Present and secure signed Engagement Letters to formalize client relationships.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, maintaining strong relationships with both new and existing clients.
Sales Reporting & CRM Management
- Update Salesforce CRM records daily with accurate client and opportunity data.
- Provide a detailed weekly opportunity report every Monday by 10:00 AM CST.
- Collaborate with leadership to refine and improve sales processes.
Requirements
Experience & Skills
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management (B2B or nonprofit experience preferred). Candidates who do not have business development experience but have substantial ministry experience will also be strongly considered.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage ministry leaders and nonprofit executives.
- Comfort with both warm leads and cold outreach to build a client base.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for tracking and managing opportunities.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of church operations or experience working with faith-based organizations is highly desirable.

Work Environment & Expectations
- On-site role based at our Rockford, IL office.
- Minimum of 30 hours per week in-office between 7:30 AM and 5:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with flexibility for additional hours as needed. Remote candidates will be considered.
- Total work week expectation: 40-50 hours.
- Occasional travel for conferences, client visits, and events.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $50,000 annually ($4,167/month).
- Commission: 7% of Expected Gross Revenue (EGR) from signed engagements.
- Quota: $65,000/month in contracted expected revenue.
- Bonuses:
- Ramp-up bonus of $1,500/month for the first two months.
- Backend bonuses based on collected client revenue.
- Total Compensation Potential: $100,000+ OTE with strong performance.
