Job Description

Position Overview:

We're seeking a boots-on-the-ground Safety Supervisor to lead safety efforts in a tight-knit, high-output industrial facility. This individual won’t be drafting standards or giving toolbox talks, but will be expected to deliver key safety messaging, walk the floor daily, and act as a trusted resource to supervisors. You’ll represent safety from the field—not behind a desk—and help identify, address, and reduce risk without disrupting production flow.

This is a high-impact leadership position requiring strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to build trust with a long-standing team. You must be bilingual and exceptionally strong in written English, with the polish and precision to interface with senior leadership, regulatory agencies, and internal compliance teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular plant walkthroughs to identify potential safety hazards and suggest practical solutions
  • Deliver safety materials and updates to team leads and supervisors (no toolbox talks, just support and guidance)
  • Partner with production supervisors to ensure PPE usage, safe procedures, and best practices are in place
  • Maintain regular communication with corporate safety leadership and participate in weekly strategy sessions
  • Build rapport with floor supervisors by asking questions, listening first, and offering constructive input
  • Support incident follow-up, documentation, and internal reviews for continuous safety improvement
  • Participate in corporate safety events and learning opportunities (AFS visits, annual summit, etc.)
  • Assist with incident recordkeeping, OSHA documentation, and audit readiness
  • Lead by example with strong floor presence and commitment to operational safety

Qualifications & Experience

  • Previous safety leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Fluent in Spanish and English , with strong written communication required for formal reports and OSHA interactions
  • Clear understanding of OSHA requirements and how to apply them on-site
  • Ability to lead through influence and build credibility in an “earn-your-stripes” team culture
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • Willingness to travel occasionally (2x/year to Wisconsin, 1 annual event in Chicago)
  • Able to work flexible shifts to support variable plant schedules

Work Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Active floor role requiring standing, walking, and interacting with operations teams
  • Exposure to industrial equipment, heat, noise, and moving machinery
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, wear appropriate PPE, and perform hands-on site assessments

What You’ll Get

  • Competitive base salary between $90,000–$115,000
  • Full medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • 2 weeks vacation + 11 paid holidays
  • Tuition support, wellness benefits, and EAP resources
  • Inclusive, team-first culture with long-tenured staff and leadership visibility
