Job Title: BAS / Controls Operations Supervisor

Location: Yakima, WA

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Building Automation Systems (BAS) / Controls Operations Supervisor to lead and coordinate daily field operations in Yakima, WA. This role is responsible for supervising a team of BAS technicians and installers, overseeing project execution, managing service delivery, and ensuring quality, safety, and customer satisfaction across all controls-related work.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field teams performing BAS installation, service, and retrofit work.
• Coordinate daily schedules, assign tasks, and manage labor resources across multiple projects.
• Support technicians with troubleshooting, programming, and system commissioning as needed.
• Ensure all work meets quality standards, control sequences, and project specifications.
• Interface with project managers, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to maintain clear communication and alignment.
• Track project progress, field reports, and technician productivity; provide regular updates to leadership.
• Maintain field inventory, tools, and materials, and support procurement coordination.
• Enforce job site safety standards and compliance with OSHA and company guidelines.
• Support hiring, training, and mentoring of new technicians to ensure skill development and performance consistency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in BAS/controls installation, service, or commissioning, including 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong working knowledge of major BAS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls, or Schneider Electric.
• Understanding of HVAC systems, low-voltage wiring, control programming, and building system integration.
• Ability to read and interpret control schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• Proficient with laptops, diagnostic tools, scheduling software, and MS Office.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to travel locally throughout Yakima and surrounding areas.
