Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cloud Architect / Systems Administrator to design, implement, secure, and maintain our hybrid cloud infrastructure. This role will be responsible for managing Microsoft Azure (including Entra ID, M365, Exchange, Service Apps, Function Apps) and AWS EC2/VM environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, security, and compliance.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in cloud administration, a deep understanding of identity management, automation, and monitoring, and the ability to troubleshoot complex cloud and hybrid environments.

Key Responsibilities

Azure / Microsoft 365 / Entra

• Administer and maintain Azure tenant, subscriptions, and resources.
• Manage Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) for authentication, SSO, conditional access, and security policies.
• Configure and manage Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams).
• Maintain Exchange Online mail flow, retention policies, and compliance configurations.
• Develop and maintain Azure Service Apps and Azure Function Apps deployments and integrations.
• Implement Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and security baselines.

AWS Infrastructure

• Manage EC2 instances, EBS volumes, and AMIs for Windows and Linux environments.
• Configure security groups, IAM roles, and backups.
• Optimize VM performance and cost efficiency.

Cross-Cloud & Hybrid Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain secure hybrid networking between Azure, AWS, and on-prem environments.
• Implement identity federation and SSO between platforms.
• Perform capacity planning and cost optimization across both clouds.
• Automate provisioning, scaling, and maintenance using scripting (PowerShell, CLI, Terraform, or equivalent).
• Troubleshoot service outages and performance issues across multiple platforms.

Required

• 5+ years of experience administering Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• 3+ years of experience with AWS EC2 / VM infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Entra ID, conditional access, MFA, and security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Service Apps and Azure Function Apps.
• Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, and AWS CLI.
• Experience configuring Exchange Online and hybrid mail flow.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, VPN, and DNS.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools in Azure and AWS.

Preferred

• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional.
• Experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks (PCI, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
• Scripting or development skills for automation and integration tasks.
• Experience with Cloudflare
