Hammer Media is a brand that represents Caleb Hammer and his YouTube Channels. 

Amassing over 2 million subscribers and nearly a billion views in 3 years, our hit show Financial Audit is one of the fastest growing channels on the internet. 

We’re looking for a talented Audio Editor to join our post-production team. In this role, you'll take near-final edits of our content and make the audio shine—delivering the cleanest, most professional sound possible across every episode and every platform.

This is your chance to help define the audio standard for high-level YouTube content while working with a fast-moving, creative team.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of all post-production audio for video content (dialogue, live shows, voiceovers, gaming, movies, music, etc.).
• Polish, balance, and mix the final audio to ensure professional, crystal-clear sound across all devices.
• Reduce background noise, eliminate audio artifacts, and clean up imperfect recordings as needed.
• Sync and align multi-track audio from different sources (boom, lav, direct feeds).
• Apply EQ, compression, and effects where necessary to enhance the audio experience.
• Ensure consistency in loudness levels and meet platform standards (YouTube, podcasting, etc.).
• Provide final audio stems and mixes to the video team for delivery.
• Occasionally assist with podcast mixes, trailers, short-form content, or branded edits.
• Maintain organized project files and audio libraries for long-term workflows.

What Makes You a Fit

• Must be in the Austin area or willing to relocate.
• A players thrive here. Those who consistently perform at a B or C level may find this isn’t the right long-term fit.
• Obsessive about their job- delivering the highest quality and putting in whatever is needed to achieve brand goals.
• Deep experience in post-production audio editing (YouTube, podcasting, film, or broadcast).
• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Audition , Pro Tools , or a comparable DAW.
• Strong ear for detail — you notice everything, from clipping to inconsistent levels.
• Comfortable working with tight deadlines and collaborating with editors and producers
• Solid understanding of mixing dialogue-first content for digital platforms.
• Bonus: Knowledge of audio restoration tools like iZotope RX, or experience with immersive sound design.
• Must be an excellent communicator and highly organized.
