Apprentice Rigger – $54,000.00 - $60,000.00 + Benefits – Shelbyville, KY (75% travel with generous travel per diem)

Edwards Moving & Rigging, family-owned and operated, is an industry leader in heavy hauling and specialized rigging and has an opening for the position of Apprentice Rigger.

In this role, you will play a vital role in our operations. You will learn from experienced professionals, gaining valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• General laborer activities as a crew member is the primary role.
• Operates various equipment (forklift/skid steer).
• Attaches loads to rigging equipment to support or prepare them for moving, using hand or power tools.
• Inspects and tests rigging equipment to ensure safety and reliability.
• Using either control mechanisms or direct activity to operate machines or processes (hand or power tools, hydraulic tools, or precision measuring tools or equipment.)

The Person

• Experience in the heavy rigging, crane, construction, or heavy trucking industry is a plus.
• CDL Class A preferred.
• Must speak and read fluent English to pass necessary safety training requirements to gain access to safety-sensitive environments such as nuclear plants.
• Must have and maintain a clean criminal record history and will be subject to ongoing random drug and alcohol testing.
• Must be willing to travel extensively. 150 to 200 nights per year.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs repetitively.
